For 50 years, The Ice Creamsmith in Lower Mills has been churning out delicious made-from-scratch ice cream! Making their ice cream in small batches on-site – (it goes from production to scoop in as little as 24 hours), the Ice Creamsmith has been delighting generations with their sweet treats! It will open for its 50th season on March 1st!

Knit a Stuffed Animal at Stitch House
Knitted Animals has returned with Maureen at Stitch House! This special class brings Moe’s talent to you – and she will share her special gift of knitting these beautiful knit animals that are the most perfect gifts! This series is designed for knitters who have basic knitting skills. $80 for this 4 week session on Saturdays 2-4pm. It’s a rolling start. Chinese New Year Parade + Lion Dance in Chinatown
Immerse yourself in the festivities and ring in the year of the horse by watching Boston’s Annual Chinese New Year Parade. The parade starts at 10:30 am on March 1, 2026, at Phillips Square (corner of Harrison Ave and Beach Street) and finishes at 3 pm.
The Local Hand Workshop: Jewelry Making with Clay
The Local Hand is hosting a special jewelry making class on Saturday from 10am-12pm. Using simple hand-building techniques and a range of surface designs, each participant will create 4 pieces of jewelry (i.e., two pairs of earrings and 2 necklace pendants). Pieces will then be fired, glazed, and assembled by the instructor and available for pick-up at The Local Hand one month later. No experience is necessary! Open to teens and adults. Your ticket price includes all supplies and light refreshments. All participants will also receive 10% off any shopping purchases at The Local Hand on the day of the workshop. Reserve your spot here.
