Beer & Cookie Pairing

Join the experts at Craft Beer Concierge for a cookie and beer tasting event this Friday evening from 7pm to 8pm at Dorchester Brewing. Enjoy a curated selection of local treats from Dorchester’s own Top Shelf Cookies that pair perfectly with DBCo craft brews. Tickets are $25 and include four cookies and four 5 oz. beer pours.

Live Music at Boston Harbor Distillery

Boston-based R&B Reggae Artist Adriya Joy will return to the stage at Boston Harbor Distillery this Friday evening. Her unique approach to Reggae draws inspiration from a range of influences including Rebelution, H.E.R., Hollie Cook, SOJA and Amy Winehouse. Tickets are $20 and doors open at 7pm for an 8pm show.

Black Veterans Luncheon

Mayor Michelle Wu will host a community event celebrating and honoring the contributions and sacrifices of Black Veterans in Dorcherster on Saturday from 11am to 2pm at the Prince Hall Grand Lodge. The City of Boston will also recognize deserving veterans with Community and Outstanding Service Awards. The event is free but registration is required and space is limited.

Indian Cooking Class

If you love Indian food and are interested in learning how to bring more flavors to life at home, head over to the Daily Table’s Teaching Kitchen in Dorchester for a hands-on cooking class this Saturday from 12pm to 2:30pm. Learn how to make easy, flavorful Indian dishes while building community with your neighbors Advance registration is required and the cost is $25 per person.

Free Sewing Class

The Uphams Corner Branch Library is hosting the next in its series of beginner fiber arts educational classes this Saturday afternoon from 12pm to 1:30pm. Those interested in learning how to use a sewing machine are invited to participate and can leave with a finished project. Classes are geared for ages 10 and up and advance registration is required.

Kirtan Yoga Night

Shine On Yoga and Wellness Studio is hosting an evening of music, community and devotion on Saturday from 6pm to 7:15pm. ​​The yogic singing class will focus on meditative vocalizing and is open to experienced practitioners as well as newcomers who are curious about Kirtan. Tickets are $20.

World of Whiskey Tasting

What’s a better way to toast the weekend than with a taste of great whiskey? Total Wine & More in South Bay is hosting an Introduction to the World of Whiskey event this Saturday from 5pm to 7pm. Guests will learn about the history of whiskey and explore the many styles including unique single-malt, classic blended Scotch and American Bourbon and Rye. Tickets are $20 per person.

Free Museum Admission

Close out Black History Month at the Museum of African American Museum’s Boston location with free admission this weekend, sponsored by the Red Sox Foundation. Tours will explore the powerful stories of African Americans who helped to shape history. Reservations are required and limited tickets remain for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
