Emo Night at Midway Cafe
Celebrate the death of 2024 and enjoy pop punk and emo covers performed live by Smile Lines at Midway Cafe! Put on your best black eyeliner and join in the “funeral” on Friday starting at 10pm to eulogize the end of this year in song. Doors open at 9:30pm for this 21+ event. Tickets are $10 per person.
New Year Sound Healing

History and Principles of Kwanzaa
The Mattapan Branch of Boston Public Library is hosting a three-part series that will explore the history and principles of Kwanzaa. The discussions are hosted by Brother Joel Mackall, an award-winning Educator & Project Developer, co-founder of the S.O.S. Living Museum, the Hidden History of Black Boston Tours, the Nubian Writer’s Group and a self-published author. The free community event takes place Saturday from 2pm to 4pm and the first 25 attendees will receive a free Kwanzaa poster to take home.
