Shop our Small Business Holiday Gift Guide! The neighborhood is full of of amazing small businesses, makers and entrepreneurs offering unique goods and services. Caught in Southie + Caught in Dot wants to make it simple to shop local this holiday season. Our guide is filled with gift ideas including everything from home goods and jewelry to beauty products and gift cards! Speaking of supporting small businesses, the City of Boston is offering free meter parking on Saturdays for you to shop locally!

Enjoy Grande Cocktails $75 for 32oz – makes 8 drinks and comes with garnishes and an exclusive YDT cocktail shaker.  Enjoy House, Coconut, and Jalapeño margaritas and there will be a rotating special soon. Quarantaco Kits are now available every day for Toast Takeout scheduled preorder or order by 3PM the day of. Guests can use the “order ahead” option or specify a pick up time in the “order notes” section. The $100 Kit includes ingredients for 12 tacos with choice of 2 taco options – carnitas, chicken tinga, carne asada (queso carne taco with oaxaca cheese sprinkled on top instead of melted on tortilla), or cauliflower taco as well as order of elote, chips & guacamole, side of salsa, and choice of margarita kit! The $175 kit includes all previously listed items except swap the margarita kit for choice of grande margarita.

Holiday Toy Drive in Dorchester

It’s the 7th Annual Holiday Toy Drive this weekend at Florian Hall – 55 Hallet Street on both Saturday and Sunday 10am-2pm. Drive-by an unwrapped toy for a child in need all proceeds benefit the Toys for Tots Foundation. The Dorchester Running Club will also be hosting a holiday pop up on Saturday in Adams Village – 8am-4pm. You can drop by a toy there and do a little shopping!  Look for the toy drive box at YDT Dorchester and Lower Mills Tavern to donate to the kids of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester. Please consider donating new and fully packaged toys and academic tools so that they can be properly cleaned and sanitized.

Deck the Halls

The holidays are here, it’s time to deck the halls!  Here are some places to pick up a tree, wreath and more! 

The Yurts are back! 

The Bowery Bar has announced the adorable outdoor winter village on their patio is back for another season.  Get cozy inside one of their three yurts – complete with outdoor heaters, blankets and furry seats on both low top and high top seating! Bookings will be live through their website on Monday afternoon.  Each yurt holds about 10 people and are available for 2-hour increments!  Winter attire is encouraged.
