B.O.L.D. Teens Present Movie Night
Kick off the weekend with a free outdoor Movie Night hosted by B.O.L.D. Teens on Friday, August 14th at 8pm at Dr. Loesch Family Park (20 Wainwright St, Dorchester). This week’s feature is The Incredibles, and the event is all ages, with free popcorn and snacks provided. Just bring a blanket or chair to sit on. Blend (1310 Dorchester Ave) has a packed lineup all weekend. Start the weekend with Queens Night at 10pm, a 21+ dance party with no cover. Saturday brings Mayhem Saturdays at 10pm, also 21+ with no cover, spun by a DJ all night.
Cool off with the Ice Cream Bar
It’s ice cream season – who are we kidding, it’s always ice cream season – and Landmark PublicHouse ice cream bar in Adams Village is officially open! Celebrate America 250 with a Frederick Douglass Reading
Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary by participating in a community reading of one of Frederick Douglass’ most important essays, “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?” This historical event takes place at the Adams Street Library on Saturday at 1pm. More info here!
