Comedy Night at Boston Harbor Distillery

Nothing helps forget the stress of the work week like a little laughter and a little more whiskey. Comedy night returns to Boston Harbor Distillery this Saturday evening with a performance by Al Park, a rising star on the national comedy scene, starting at 8pm. The event is perfect for a date night or a night on the town with friends. Tickets are $15. If comedy isn’t your thing, check out the distillery’s spring planter paint and pour class on Saturday afternoon at 2:30pm!

Neighborhood Earth Day Celebration

Dot’s Earth Day celebrations continue this weekend with a special event hosted by the Fairmount Indigo CDC Collaborative this Saturday at Mary Hannon Park from 11am to 3pm. Join your neighbors, local organizations and other community members who are working together toward climate change. The family friendly event is free and will include hands-on activities, raffles, food and more. RSVPs are encouraged.

Fields Corner Cleanup

Love Your Block Day is back in Fields Corner and your help is needed for the cleanup! Volunteers will be working this weekend to help paint over graffiti, pick up trash, plant flowers and tend to community gardens. The event takes place Saturday from 10am to 1pm. Those interested in participating can meet at 1444 Dorchester Avenue. Email [email protected] to RSVP or for more information.

Children’s Chorus Performance

The Uniting Voices Chicago youth tour group will perform a special matinee concert at First Parish in Dorchester this Saturday afternoon. The event is a collaboration between the Albany Park and Rogers Park Neighborhood Choir Programs and the Boston Children’s Chorus. The performance begins at 1:30pm and there is no cost to attend.

Boys, Bears & Brews

This Sunday spring gets sprung as the monthly bear tea returns to Dorchester Brewing Company from 4pm to 8pm. This is a free, open and inclusive gay-friendly event for adults 21+. Stop by and enjoy a wide selection of beer, hard seltzer, hard cider, hard slushies and wine, plus music by DJ Aga and free donuts from Mass Hole Donuts, while supplies last.

On Saturday, April 27th, the Neponset River Watershed Association + Neponset River Greenway Council is hosting a special event from 1pm-3pm at Pope John Paul II Park (Hallet Street entrance).  Enjoy free music, games, activities, tractors, candy, and an appearance by the Spring Bunny! Story Time at Martin’s Park

Local author and illustrator Kari Percival will read from her book “How to Say Hello to a Worm” and discuss all things gardening on Saturday April 27th from 11:30am to 12:30pm. It is perfect for ages 0-6. The event is free to all! Get more info and register here!
