At about 8:32 PM on Sunday May 7, 2023, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call for a person shot in the area of 66 Wildwood Street in Mattapan. On arrival, officers located two adult male victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to local area hospitals, where one victim later succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased, while the second victim continues to receive care for injuries that are life-threatening in nature.

As this investigation was ongoing, two additional victims presented themselves at local area hospitals. Victim number three was later pronounced deceased as a result of his gunshot injuries. Preliminary investigatory information does not connect this third victim with the scene on Wildwood Street at this time. Additionally, a fourth victim presented themselves with non-life threatening gun shot wounds which were determined to have occurred during an unrelated incident in the area of 35 Kingston Street in Downtown Boston.

The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding these incidents. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
