Just a few days before Memorial Day, the Vietnam War Memorial on Morrissey Boulevard was vandalized. Graffiti, including a swastika, was written on the memorial, a number of plants were torn out of the ground and flags were ripped down and thrown into a wooded area, according to State Police. UMass Boston police officers and State Troopers are actively investigating.

This is the second time in the past year this monument has been vandalized.
