And just like that…the hometown location of Wahlburgers abruptly closed.
We had a few readers reach out to say they went to Wahlburgers at the South Bay Mall only to discover it had closed.
The closure was confirmed by Boston Restaurant Talk, that the burger restaurant is no longer in business – the website for the chain has been removed from the South Bay location from the locations section of the site.
The South Bay location originally opened back in 2018. You can still find Wahlburgers at Fenway, Logan Airport, Hingham and Lynnfield.
No word on why this location shuttered its doors.
Also – just a reminder that the Wahlberg family is not from South Boston. They are from Dorchester. And Southie is not a part of Dot. Sometimes people in the press get confused.

Southie is a part of Dorchester…
It is? I think you’re mistaken. It WAS a part of Dorchester a very, long, long time ago!
Southie is not apart of Dorchester.
Southie is Not Apart of Dorchester physically, but People who grew up around Savin Hill felt they were apart of Southie.
