Two people – including an 8-year-old girl – were shot in Dorchester on Thursday night.

NBC10 Boston is reporting that two people – including an 8-year old girl– were shot near Fulsome and Dudley streets on Thursday night.

BPD is reporting the girl was shot in the foot and the injury is not life-threatening. A man in his mid-30s was shot twice in the torso and was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating this incident.
