Confront and Apprehend Two Gun-Toting Juveniles in Dorchester: At about 2:45 pm, on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested two male juvenile suspects for firearm-related offenses in the area of 21 Bullard Street in Dorchester. While responding to a call for shots fired in the area of 21 Bullard Street, officers observed two young males, both wearing hooded sweatshirts, walking away from the scene. When officers approached, the juveniles took off running. Moreover, officers noted that both of the suspects were clutching at objects in their waist areas in such a way as if to suggest both were in possession of firearms. After separate foot pursuits in which both suspects attempted to make good their escape, officers were able to chase down and arrest both suspects. Firearms were found on both suspects. Officers confiscated two firearms:

  • A Smith & Wesson .380 Body Guard firearm

  • A Ruger 9mm firearm

Officers arrested a 15-year-old male from Boston and a 16-year-old male from Boston and charged both with Unlawful Possession of Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Possession of a Loaded Firearm.

Both suspects are scheduled to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on Wednesday, February 12, 2020.
