“A Taste of Ethnic Boston is more than just a food festival—it’s a celebration of the cultural richness and diversity that fuels the both Greater Boston and State’s hospitality and culinary ecosystem,” said Colette A.M. Phillips, Founder & CEO of Get Konnected! and creator of the event. “This event shines a light on both neighborhood-based, culturally diverse restaurants and food creators who too often go unrecognized but are essential to our State’s identity.”
Boston is no longer just baked beans, lobster, and clam chowder—From the fragrant spices of Afghan cuisine to the lively flavors of Caribbean, Spanish, African, Asian, and Indian dishes, it’s neighborhoods and immigrant communities are brimming with authentic tastes that tell stories of migration, resilience, and community. Food, after all, is one of the most powerful ways to learn about a person, to break down barriers, and to foster understanding across cultures. This is a powerful opportunity for residents and visitors alike to experience the true flavor of our City and neighborhoods like Dorchester. Special guest appearances at the event will include up and coming local award-winning musician songwriter Najee Janey, international steel drum soloist Justin Petty and Miss Massachusetts USA, Melissa Sapini, the first Haitian American to win the title.
A Taste of Ethnic Boston is a wonderful opportunity to help amplify the Commonwealth’s rich and diverse culinary ecosystem. Attendees can experience the 11th annual A Taste of Ethnic Boston and help amplify our neighborhood restaurants. A Taste of Ethnic Boston embodies this idea, bringing together food lovers, culinary influencers, and community members from all backgrounds to celebrate the city’s rich diversity.
