Boston Fire Department responded to a call for a fire at 31 Brookview Street in Dorchester shortly before 3:00am on Friday. Heavy fire was showing was showing on the porches of this two and half story wood frame home. A second alarm was ordered.
The building was occupied and residents – including two adults, one child and a cat had to be rescued. They were taken to an area hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
The fire was quickly knocked down. Four adults and a child have been displaced by the fire, and the Red Cross will help them to find housing.
