Happy Tuesday!
Around 6:30am on Tuesday, Red Line train derailed at the JFK/UMass station causing severe delays for commuters during rush hour. BFD responded and evacuated 60 people from the derailed train. No injuries were reported. The MBTA has closed sections of the Red Line both inbound and outbound while they investigate the scene.
Shuttle buses are in use between North Quincy and Broadway and from Ashmont to Broadway.
