The Pearl at South Bay will be closing its doors this month

The Dorchester location of The Pearl, a wildly popular seafood restaurant at the South Bay Mall,  announced on Thursday that it would be closing its doors on Sunday, January 25th. Owner Mika Winder released the following statement.

“When you build something with purpose and authenticity, the people it’s meant for show up. I’m going to miss the community we built, and the bonds we formed with our tight-knit neighborhood since we opened in May 2021. We were grateful for the opportunity to operate two thriving restaurants after opening our Boston Landing location in February 2025, welcoming busy crowds throughout the day. As we approach our one-year anniversary, we look forward to seeing those same familiar faces in Brighton and to recreating the warmth, energy, and experience we first established in Dorchester.”

According to the Dorchester Reporter, one last celebration will take place on Thursday, January 29th. Be on the lookout for more details on Instagram.

The Pearl’s Brighton location will remain open.
