Hey foodies and Netflix bingers—get ready to see some familiar local spots on the small screen! Season 8 of Somebody Feed Phil, the hit Netflix food and travel show starring Everybody Loves Raymond creator Phil Rosenthal, has officially dropped, and Boston gets its very own episode!
A few months back, there were rumblings (and sightings!) of Phil around Greater Boston—fork in hand, camera crew in tow—and now we finally get to see where he landed. Spoiler alert: Southie and Dorchester get some love!
Representing South Boston is Galley Diner on P Street, a beloved, no-frills family-owned spot where locals have been starting their day with hearty breakfasts for decades. We’re wondering if Phil tried the Galley’s legendary corned beef hash.
In Dorchester, the highly acclaimed Comfort Kitchen on Columbia Road makes an appearance—an exciting shoutout for one of the neighborhood’s newer culinary gems. Known for its globally inspired menu and beautiful space inside a restored historic comfort station (yep, that’s where the name comes from), Comfort Kitchen is helping put Dot on the national foodie map.
The episode also features other Boston-area hotspots, such as Boston Public Market and Bricco Salumeria in the North End, as well as Al Forno in Providence. Expect celeb cameos too—including Ray Romano, because what’s Somebody Feed Phil without a little Everybody Loves Raymond reunion?
