The Boston Emerald Football Club has home opener at BC High on Sunday

“Forged in Heritage, Driven by Pride”
The Boston Emeralds Football Club is a brand-new semi-pro team, with its home opener on Sunday, April 12th at BC High Stadium at 6:15 pm vs. UNations as part of Division 1 of the United Premier Soccer League New England Conference. The Emeralds are based right here in Dorchester.
Co-founded by Dorchester locals Kevin Tarr and Keegan Hegarty, the club will be led by Hegarty as head coach, with Tarr serving as assistant coach. Tryouts for the new team will take place on February 4th:
The team is sponsored by neighborhood favorite McGonagle’s Pub, further cementing its Dorchester ties. You can follow along on Instagram at @bostonemeraldsfc, and the club has also launched its official team shop for the 2026 season.
From the pitch to the pub, the Boston Emeralds FC are aiming to be more than just a team; they’re looking to be a new point of pride for Dorchester soccer fans. ⚽🍀
