Massachusetts is one of the most vaccinated states in America (yay for science, tough break for Jenny McCarthy), and it just so happens to sync up with boating season. Coincidence? I think not! The universe wants your vaxed ass to whoop it up on a boat!
Now I personally don’t have a boat to whoop it up on for many reasons. First, I’m poor…hmmm I guess there’s one reason. If I did have a boat I would totally invite you on it to party on it (and by “party” I mean eat WisPride port wine cheese and talk about Jen Shah’s Go Fund Me), but I don’t. We all still deserve to drink on a boat at least once this summer, so I have a solution, Vaxed and Relaxed cruises!
Vaxed and Relaxed is a 90-minute cruise that sets sail twice every Sunday through September. Your $75 ticket secures a spot on the 12 guest sailing vessel and an iVaxed pin; as well as Drag Queen and DJ entertainment and curated snacks and a hosted bar…these are a few of my favorite things. In case you didn’t pick it up from the title of cruise, you need to be vaccinated; which lets face it, you should be anyway. The cruises are brought to us by iVaxed, a Boston based startup whose mission is to reduce social anxieties, raise awareness, and give back to the community. A portion of their proceeds provide relief to small business owners in the entertainment industry.
Vaxed and Relaxed cruises are perfect for those of us who:
- Watch Below Deck and Below Deck Sailing Yacht
- Want to go out but are a little nervous of potentially un-vaccinated big crowds
- Like making “buoy” puns
- Are eager to get some sea legs
- Have 11 friends (I’m jealous)
- Like to drink on the water
- Feel the need to yell “I’m king of the world”
- Are looking to ease back in to a social life
- Have Captain Stubing fantasies they need to work through, or Gopher; kno judgment
- Basically anyone who doesn’t get seasick
If this is you, you can head over to iVaxed to grab your ticket. Bon Voyage!
DISCLAIMER: This is not a sponsored post, I have received nothing in exchange from iVaxed for writing about their cruises but if they are reading this and want to hook me up, I am, as previously discussed, poor and will take a ride around Boston Harbor.
Heather has been writing for Caught In Southie since pretty much the beginning and for that we apologize. She can often be found on her couch with a log of raw cookie dough. Her biggest fear is being on an episode of Dateline and her wildest dream is being a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race. Feel free to let her know if there’s something you think she should write about, unless it’s stupid.
