From BPD News:
At about 1:15 PM on Tuesday July 26, 2022, officers assigned to District b-2 (Roxbury) arrested Jorge Gonzalez, 49, of Dorchester on multiple charges following a traffic stop in the area of Columbia Road and Annabel Street in Dorchester. Earlier in the day, the suspect had been involved in two separate verbal altercations in the area. During these incidents, the suspect threatened several victims with a machete before fleeing in his vehicle. A short time after a description was given out, a BPD officer working a paid detail in the area of 509 Columbia Road spotted the suspect vehicle as it passed his work site. Multiple units then responded to perform a traffic stop at which time the suspect was detained until he was positively identified. As the officers were placing the suspect in custody, they recovered one large plastic bag filled with approximately 24 grams of fentanyl from his pants pocket. Officers then located and recovered a black machete from inside the vehicle.
The suspect will appear in Roxbury District Court on charges of Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon and Trafficking Class A Drugs.
