From BPD News:

In the early morning hours of Saturday August 6, 2022, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested Charles Singleton (AKA Charles Zimmerman), 51, of Dorchester, on multiple charges after responding to a call for a person with a gun in Dorchester. On arrival, officers met with an adult female victim who stated that the suspect, who was still present on scene, had just attempted to rape her while threatening her with a firearm.

The victim stated that the two had recently met in the area following a social gathering and that the suspect claimed to be a police officer before offering to give her a ride. The suspect then drove with the victim a short distance to a nearby field at which time he suddenly produced a firearm while ordering her to exit the vehicle and walk towards the darkened field. The suspect then began to grope the victim while making threats to kill her if she did not comply with his instructions which were graphic and sexual in nature. When the victim began to scream, the suspect physically assaulted her before taking her purse and her cell phone. The suspect then fled back towards his parked motor vehicle where he was located upon the officer’s arrival.

During their investigation, the officers located and recovered the victim’s purse as well as a discarded .45 caliber Taurus firearm equipped with a laser sight near the suspect’s vehicle. Additionally, the officers were able to recover the victim’s cellphone during a pat frisk of the suspect as they were placing him in custody.

The suspect will appear in Dorchester District Court on multiple charges including Assault with Intent to Rape, Kidnapping, Indecent Assault and Battery, Intent to Rob While Armed and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

Good for the cops for arresting that thug in question and taking him into custody. Here’s hoping that the in question gets tried for and charged with intended rape in an adult court, and serves an adult turn in an adult penitentiary for a good, long time.
