A Massachusetts State trooper was arrested Wednesday on charges related to a domestic violence investigation.
According to NBC10 Boston, Jordan Cavaco, 27, is accused of choking and punching a woman he was dating, then preventing her from getting out of the car on 93 (Expressway) in Dorchester back in May.
The victim reported the incident to police last week. Cavaco was arrested at his home in Brockton about 7 a.m. and booked on charges of domestic assault and battery, strangulation and kidnapping. He was arraigned in Dorchester District Court on Wednesday and has been suspended without pay.
Just last month, another off-duty state trooper was involved in a deadly car crash on 93 in Dorchester.
