St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations in the Neighborhod

You know what they say—if you’re lucky enough to be Irish you’re lucky enough! And how lucky are we that St. Paddy’s Day are happening all weekend? Dorchester has lots going on, get your green on and celebrate!

The Bowery Bar is celebrating with not one, not two but 5 Days of Celebrations! Enjoy lunch, dinner and drink specials from March 13th-March 17th. On Sunday, March 15th there will be live music (on the patio – weather permitting) with It’s a J Thing!  Yurts are still available for reservations!

Lower Mills Tavern will be featuring live Irish sessions on Tuesday, March 17th from 5pm-10pm!  LMT will be ollaborating with WROL 100.3 FM / 950 AM, Irish Hit Parade; A Feast of Irish Music. St. Paddy’s,  no cover, kitchen open late and musicians welcome.  Enjoy a St. Patrick’s Claddagh Fund Charity Cocktail: $10 Irish Coffee Special. $2 per each cocktail will go towards Claddagh Fund, the charitable foundation of the Dropkick Murphys, founded in 2009 by band frontman, Ken Casey. Available from Friday, March 13th – Tuesday, March 17th.  St. Patrick’s Day specials include: Irish soda bread for table service, Corn Beef Hash with fried eggs & red bell peppers $17, Colcannon potatoes with Guinness marinated steak tips $22  and St.Patrick’s brownie trifle $9. (Available for dinner service only.)

Bring on the beer!

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day as the Irish intended -with a full day of drinking great beer.  This year Dorchester Brewing Co is making it a full weekend celebration on Saturday and Sunday! Enjoy fresh beer, live music, Irish Step Dancers, traditional food and more. If you haven’t checked out the newly expanded space with the 4-season Rooftop Hopservatory, now is the perfect time. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Savin Hillbillies!

The wildly popular band will be playing Irish and Hillbilly music in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day at Tavolo on Saturday, March 14th 7:30pm-10:00pm. No cover.

St. Paddy’s Day Charity Marg at Yellow Door

Now until St. Patrick’s Day, get to Yellow Door to sip and support the Claddagh Fund, a charity founded by Ken Casey of the Dropkick Murphys . Cucumber Cilantro shaken with Alto tequila cucumber juice, cilantro, agave, lime + narajana. Available in Dot and South End!

Listen to Live Music

Get lucky at Lucy’s American Tavern from March 13th-March 17th! Enjoy 5 days of celebrations including food and drink specials!  On Sunday, enjoy live music from 3-7pm with John Ridlon & Sean McLaughlin. On St. Patrick’s Day,  Lucy’s will be opening early at 10am and serving their lunch menu with a few brunch specials. The John Ridlon Duo will be playing from 3-7pm.

The Industry will be featuring live Irish music on Saturday, March 14th from 8pm to 11pm. A time-honored tradition! The Eire Pub will be serving up corned beef and cabbage all day long. Pairs perfectly with Guinness

Savin Bar + Kitchen is featuring traditional boiled dinner this weekend!

Landmark Public House will have Irish step dancing and live music on Sunday, March 15th starting at 10am. They’ll be serving the good stuff (aka corned beef & cabbage) all weekend long! t
