Victim Identified:

At about 4:57 PM, on Monday, May 22, 2023, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) and District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a call for shots fired in the area of 264 Columbia Road. On arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim, Daniel T. Mayers, 33, of Haverhill, was transported to a local area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.

Boston police responded to a call on Monday around 5:20pm to Columbia Road for a shooting.  One person was shot near 264 Columbia Road.

According to the Citizen App – one suspect fled on a bicycle and two suspects fled on foot on Devon Street.

BPD shut down traffic and block off the intersection of Columbia Road and Devon Street.

This is an active investigation.
