At about 7:49 PM, on Sunday, February 19, 2023, officers assigned to District A-1 (Downtown), responded to a radio call for a group of juveniles causing a disturbance and throwing bottles at people in the area of Franklin Street and Washington Street in Boston.

Upon arrival, officers observed a group of juveniles fleeing from the scene heading down Franklin Street towards Hawley Street, where they were stopped. All the juveniles were uncooperative with officers.

A total of five adult victims were still on scene at Franklin Street and Washington Street; three of the victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries; victim one was kicked and punched while on the ground, victim two was punched in the back of the head and victim three was punched in the jaw.

Prior to attacking the victims, the group of juveniles were removed from TJ Maxx after causing a disturbance inside of the store.

12-year-old male from Arlington, MA, a 16-year-old male from Framingham, MA and a 14-year-old male from Cambridge, MA, were arrested and charged with; Delinquent to Wit; Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon: Shod Foot and Delinquent to Wit; Affray. An 11-year-old suspect from Arlington, MA was released to a parent.

Several other juvenile suspects, ranging between 15 and 17 years old, will be summonsed into Boston Juvenile Court upon further investigation.
