According to Scott Foreman on twitter, there was a serious crash on Morrissey Boulevard involving a scooter and a vehicle.  

Mass State Police is reporting it happened in the area of BC High.  Operator of scooter was taken to area hospital for serious injuries.  Vehicle stayed on scene. All lanes of Morrissey Boulevard are open at the time.

A crash between a car and a motor scooter on Morrissey Boulevard in Boston earlier today led to serious injuries to the scooter operator.

Preliminary investigation by Trooper Ryan Doyle indicates that at about 1:20 p.m., a 2016 Chevrolet Spark, operated by a 26-year-old woman from Dorchester, was traveling westbound into a parking lot located at 55 Morrissey Boulevard when the rear quarter panel of her vehicle was struck by a motor scooter operated by a 43-year-old man from Quincy, who was traveling southbound on Morrissey at that time.

The operator of the scooter was transported to Boston Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.  The operator of the Chevrolet was uninjured in the crash.

This cause of this crash remains under investigation with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, Crime Scene Services Section, and Troop H detectives.  No charges have been filed at this time.

State Police were assisted on scene by Boston Fire and EMS.
