Investigation Update: At about 1:00 PM on Monday May 11, 2020, detectives assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) executed a search warrant in the area of 19 Olney Street in Dorchester as part of an ongoing armed robbery investigation. During the initial incident, two victims were robbed at gunpoint by a suspect who was taken into custody after he was observed fleeing into an apartment inside the address. As a result, five loaded firearms were safely recovered, including a 9mm Taurus handgun, a .357 magnum Smith and Wesson revolver, a .380 caliber Taurus handgun, a 9mm Browning Arms and a .380 caliber Lorcin handgun.
Detectives also located and recovered a large amount of additional ammunition and over $7,000 in U.S. Currency. This investigation remains active and ongoing at this time and additional charges are expected to be filed against the robbery suspect.
