Universal Hub reported via Boston Globe reporter Janelle Nanos about a vibrant new neighborhood in Boston called “Seaport South.” Good lord!
Evidently, Beacon Capital Partners, the developer behind Southline (the old Globe headquarters) on Morrissey Blvd., thinks the neighborhood of Dorchester needs a fancier name – “Seaport South” to lure tenants. ” This neighborhood is “quickly emerging as the place to be in Boston.”
Let us not forget other trendy (and insulting) neighborhood names created by developers and real estate groups when they want to remove a neighborhood that they think is undesirable. Broadway Village – Midtown, and the Innovation District, to name a few.

The Flower Exchange is a desirable destination? For who, funeral directors?? Cut the nonsensense, then are going to call the development where the expo center once stood Dot City, they named there’s The Ink Spot, live with that.!!
