We knew this was only a matter of time. Summertime visitors flocking to Boston for history, the ocean and beer would include people from COVID-19 hot spots. Well, Sam Adams is shutting down the roof deck patio of its Boston Tap Room located on State Street to protect guests and employees for just this reason.
According to a facebook post, the goal is to keep everyone safe. “While we love welcoming visitors to the taproom, we also know we need to do our part to keep everyone as safe as possible.”
Beer lovers can still sample Sam Adams products via contactless pickup for online orders of Sam Adams merchandise and beer.
They hope to reopen when it’s safe, but for now the tap room will be closed. Just a reminder that there is a pandemic still going on.
