On Friday afternoon, around 3pm an argument in a crosswalk in Codman Square quickly escalated to violence.
According to the Boston Globe, a pedestrian and a motorist had an argument which ended with the pedestrian taking out a gun and shooting the driver of the car. The pedestrian is thought to be a man around 20. The motorist, age 33 years was taken to an area hospital and his injury is not considered life-threatening.
The suspect fled on foot down Southern Avenue toward Talbot Avenue. BPD is checking surveillance video in the area.
