At about 5:53 PM on Saturday April 4, 2020, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call for an armed robbery in the area of 20A Frontenac Street in Dorchester. On arrival, officers located three victims, two adult males and one adult female, who stated that they had been robbed at gunpoint by a male suspect, later identified as Reneil Miller, 20, of Dorchester. Officers were provided with a detailed description and soon located an individual matching the given description walking on Theodore Street.
Upon seeing the officers, the suspect quickly entered a waiting ride-share vehicle. Officers followed the vehicle and performed a traffic stop in the area of 875 Morton Street at which time they removed the suspect. Officers soon recovered personal property belonging to the victims but were unable to locate a firearm. The suspect was placed in custody on scene without incident and will appear in Dorchester District Court on charges of Armed Robbery and Violation of Probation.
