UPDATE: Car has been recovered. Suspect has not been located.
Ashley Poles was working at the Lower Mills Tavern on Tuesday when a woman came in to use the restroom around 4pm. Nothing out of the ordinary until the woman who used the ladies room abruptly left. Then Ashley’s instinct kicked in – her purse was missing. She went out front to see if she could spot the woman and then noticed her car was missing too! Her keys where in her purse, and Ashley realized that the woman who stole her purse, stole her car too.
Ashley was able to track her debit card which was used at a nearby liquor store in Fields Corner. A video from the store shows the suspect buying booze and cigarettes.
Ashley posted the video on Facebook.
Ashley made a report with the BPD. The stolen car is a Blue 2017 Ford licensee plate 7EC478 . Anyone with information on the car, or the woman in the video are urged to reach out the police.
