The first day of June signals the start of Pride month and although there isn’t an official Boston Pride Parade this year, all month long there are opportunities around the city (and beyond) to show off your rainbow gear and support the local LGBTQIA+ community.  Check back as this list will be updated! 

City of Boston Pride Kickoff

Today, Mayor Wu and the Equity Cabinet will host a Pride Kickoff, celebrating the start of National LGBTQ+ Pride Month with a speaking program, live performances from local LGBTQ+ artists, and announcements about community based Pride events throughout the rest of the month. Mayor Wu will also announce the new Executive Director of the inaugural Office for LGBTQ+ Advancement.

If you live in Dorchester…

Backyahd Boston is hosting a special Pride Class on Saturday, June 11th at 9am to benefit the Trevor Project! Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here! 

dbar Pride Stoplight Party: 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday, June 10th  – dbar’s Pride Stoplight Party on Pride Friday promises to “Light Up Your Night” with the perfect cocktail and plenty of opportunities to mingle. Guests are asked to wear green if they are single, red if they are in a relationship, or yellow if they are somewhere in between. 

Dorchester Brewing Co. has a whole slew of Pride Events taking place!

If you live in Southie…

🌈 Come celebrate all and non-gender folks at Rock Spot Climbing in South Boston! 🌈 They are partnering 🤝 with the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition (MTPC) to support our gender expansive community on Saturday, June 18th from 4-9pm. Arrive any time! Price includes rental gear (harness and climbing shoes), and safety orientation, with a portion 💰 of the proceeds going to support the MTPC and their crucial work.  No climbing experience is necessary to have a good time.  You can register here! 

In Good Company is hosting a Pride Party at Gray’s Hall on June 18th from 2pm-6pm. There will be food, wine + raffles!  Proceeds to benefit Lambda Legal. You can reserve your seat here! 

In celebration of Pride, Seaport by WS Developmentannounces a summer long partnership with Drag Queen Story HourThis new season-long family-friendly series kicks off on Sunday, June 12th. Hosted by local drag queen star, Patty Bourrée, the fun and engaging series provides a space that encourages kids to celebrate themselves and others. Drag Queen Story Hour captures the imagination and play of childhood and provides families and kids with positive and unabashedly queer role models. The series is complimentary and open to the public. Books will be provided by Seaport’s new neighborhood bookstore, Porter Square Books. If you live near Beacon Hill…

Go to the Pride Drag Brunch at the Liberty Hotel on Sunday June 5 from 11 AM – 2 PM. Your ticket will include a buffet brunch, choice of alcoholic drink and a portion of the proceeds will benefit BAGLY (The Boston Alliance of Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer Youth). 

If you live Downtown…

Go to the For The Gaawwddzz Pride Drag Brunch on Sunday June 12 from 10:00 AM – 2 PM. Tickets include live Drag performances and music.

If you live near Fenway…

Go to the LGBTQIA+ Pride Bar Fest 2022 on Saturday June 11 from 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM. This first annual event includes Drag shows from 2:30 to 5 all the way from Time Out Market to Game On!, along with live music and food at almost all of the 10 stops. There will be a giveaway to the Sapphic Nights Pride Yacht Party and a portion of the proceeds from the event will go toward Trans Resistance Mass.

If you live near Faneuil Hall…

Go to the Pride Bar Crawl on Saturday June 11 from 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM. At venues like Wild Rover, Bell in Hand and Green Dragon, there will be four live Drag shows, free Pride swag, colorful cocktails and more!

If you live near Jamaica Plain…

Go to the JP Block Party on Sunday June 12 from 12:00 PM – 7 PM to taste food from local vendors, enjoy live music, a Drag show and celebrate the JP Pride community.

If you live near Charlestown…

Go to the LGBTQ+ Silent Disco Pier Party PRIDE PARTY on Saturday June 4 from 7-11PM at The Anchor. There will be three different silent DJ’s to bounce around between and a portion of the sales will go toward the Trans Emergency Fund and The Network/La Red.

If you live near Cambridge…

Enjoy Pride Trivia on Wednesday June 1 from 7:30 – 9:30 PM at the Lamplighter Brewing Co. Broadway location for the chance to win tickets to their upcoming taproom Drag Race or a pack of their Pride month beer! Half of their proceeds will be going toward The Network/La Red. If you miss the first one, they will be hosting another one later in the month at their other Cambridge taproom location.

Go to the Cambridge Pride Brunch on Saturday June 11 from 9:00-11:00 AM. Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui’s office is hosting it in partnership with the Cambridge LGBTQ+ Commission and there will be entertainment, food and awards handed out. 

If you live near the North Shore…

Go to the second annual North Shore Pride Drag Brunch on Sunday June 26 at 11:00 AM. Tickets include live Drag performances.
