Police kill dog that mauled a woman in Dorchester

BPD and Boston EMS rushed to Howe Terrace in Dorchester Monday evening after a woman was attacked by a dog just before 7 p.m.
The victim suffered multiple bites to her arms and legs. First responders initially had trouble reaching the woman because of the dog’s aggression.
A Boston Police officer ultimately fired at the animal, allowing EMTs to treat her and transport her to a nearby hospital.
Officers called in Animal Control, but the dog’s injuries were fatal, according to WCVB.
