UPDATE: BPD says male shooting victim was pronounced dead at Boston City Hospital. Police are investigating it as a homicide. More to follow.

At about 3:15 AM on Saturday, December 23, 2017, officers from District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of Hilltop Street and Lenoxdale Avenue. Upon arrival, officers observed a male who appeared to be in his 20’s suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported by Boston EMS to Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.
The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
