Around 9:30pm on Sunday, a pedestrian was fatally struck by a van on Gallivan Boulevard in Dorchester.
According to State Police, the van had a green light when it proceeded through the intersection before the man was hit at the intersection of Gallivan Blvd. and Dot. Ave.
The pedestrian was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The victim was identified as Torrance Hodges, 53, of Dorchester.
