This should brighten up the gloomy forecast! There is a Plant Sale, Potting and Orchid-gami on Saturday, March 23, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00pm at the Nature’s Neighborhoods Meeting Barn at the Franklin Park Zoo.
Bring a piece of the tropics home with you this winter! Explore a wide selection of orchids, from the vibrant Phalaenopsis, to the delicate Cattleya. Pot a baby orchid at one of the free make-and-take stations, or craft a beautiful orchid-gami creation. Zoo horticulturists and members of the Massachusetts Orchid Society will be on hand to answer questions and guide visitors in making their own orchid baskets.
