Five new marijuana shops could be opening in Dot, Eastie, JP and Fenway by the end of the year!
Looks the City of Boston has signed off “host community agreements” for five stores in four neighborhoods – Dorchester, East Boston, Jamaica Plain and Fenway.
71 Maverick Square (Bloom) and 251 Meridian Street (Berkshire Roots) in East Boston
430 Blue Hill Avenue (Pure Oasis) in Dorchester
401 Centre Street(Core Empowerment) in Jamaica Plain
120 Brookline Avenue (MedMen) in Fenway
According to the Boston Globe, the shops are expected to receive final approval by the Boston Zoning Board of Appeal on March 12th.They would then need to obtain state marijuana licenses from the Cannabis Control Commission in order to open.
Back in 2016, Massachusetts voted to approve marijuana decriminalization.
