One Less Gun: At about 12:22 AM on Saturday, August 29, 2020, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person with a gun in the area of 55 Hollander Street in Dorchester. On arrival, officers observed a male matching the description of the suspect in the area of the aforementioned location. Officers canvassed the area and located a Bryco Arms Jennings Nine 9mm firearm loaded with five rounds of ammunition. The firearm was recovered on the ground in a bush within the immediate proximity of the male. The suspect was taken into custody.
Officers arrested Teyon Dennis, 30-years-old, of Cleveland, Ohio. Dennis is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Carrying a Loaded Firearm on a Public Way.
