At about 10:41 PM on Tuesday November 19, 2019, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force recovered a loaded firearm during an investigation in the rear of 98 Harrishof Street in Dorchester. The officers were speaking with a group of individuals when they recovered a discarded .38 caliber Smith & Wesson revolver loaded with six rounds of ammunition. The parties on scene were identified and released.
The handgun has been turned over to the BPD Firearms Analysis Unit for processing. This investigation remains active and ongoing at this time.
