Paul Goodnight and Larry Pierce are the first artists featured on the side of Breezes Laundromat, 345 Blue Hill Ave in Grove Hall as part of Mentoring Murals, a year-long printed mural program pairing two artists in a mentoring relationship via Now + There!

Goodnight and Pierces’ collaboration is called “No Strings Detached”

The Boston Globe has a full feature on the mural here!

Mentoring Murals exists to amplify the importance of mentorship in maintaining a vibrant Black arts community, celebrate the Black mural movement’s past and present in Roxbury and Dorchester, and support the work of Greater Grove Hall Main Street in creating greater economic and cultural vitality. The program invites established Black Roxbury and Dorchester artists to select a younger artist to co-create a temporary, printed mural to be mounted on a metal frame on a visible wall in the Grove Hall, Dorchester neighborhood.
