Another reason to love BFD
In addition to fighting fires and keeping up safe, firefighters rescue our pets! Nina the dog was a resident of one of the buildings involved in a 7-alarm fire in Dorchester on Tuesday. She was found behind one of the buildings by a firefighter and reunited with her family! (You see a very heartwarming video of the reunion via WCVB.) Other family pets were also safely rescued from the burning buildings!
After the fire was knocked down, five buildings were destroyed, 32 adults,16 kids and multiple pets have been displaced. Several firefighters suffered from heat exhaustion.
