In the ever-expanding landscape of Dorchester restaurants, a new bbq place could be joining the roster! According to Boston Eater, Daisy Duke’s BBQ Pit and Royal hopes to open at 881 Blue Hill Ave. Daisy Duke’s will feature 4600 square feet of restaurant space with an additional 400 square foot patio. It will seat up to 240 customers and the menu will feature Southern-style barbecue
The proposed hours are from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. (10 p.m. for the patio) serving breakfast, lunch and dinner! Fingers crossed that there will be an item on the menu called the Boss Hog!
In other restaurant news, The Bowery Bar in Lower Mills will open on June 18th.

Any idea when this is set to open? Dorchester is really becoming a great place for food. BBQ would do really well here in my opinion (now we just need a decent, fast place that isnt fast food open late nights on Fri/Sat!). I hope this opens in time for summer. I make the drive into Newton for BBQ now, theres a great little hole in the wall place by the pike exit/t-stop. Would love to have a place within walking distance.
