New Addition: This Dorchester restaurant was added to Eater Boston’s Best Restaurant List

In an effort to answer that age-old question, which restaurant do you recommend? Eater Boston has created a curated list of their favorite spots in the Boston area. Some South Boston restaurants have been included in this roundup, including these new additions just added this week.
Here is the Dorchester hot spot via Eater Boston:
McGonagles
Open for: Lunch, dinner and weekend brunch
Price range: $$
At McGonagle’s, which opened in late 2024, you’ll find classic Irish dishes (and accents), and more modern meals that celebrate the cuisine found in Dublin today. The cozy two-level pub, which has already put Dorchester on the map with a nod from the New York Times, has become a locals favorite and destination for perfectly poured pints of Guinness, full Irish breakfasts, fish and chips, Irish seafood chowder, and Sunday roasts that taste like home.
Must-try dish: If you haven’t heard, spice bag – a Chinese-Irish fusion fried-chicken-and-chips dish that’s a take-away staple in Ireland – is taking over the world. Lucky us, one of the best versions in the US is right here in Dorchester.
Also included on this list in the neighborhood: Comfort Kitchen, Singh’s Roti Shop and Banh Mi Ba Le.

Comfort Kitchen now allows you to reserve one of the few seats at the bar. A new policy that
takes away any chance of a dinner walk-in for the community. Very disappointed
