After pushback from the neighborhood about size, developer Ryan Sillery has changed his proposal for the new development called Neponset Wharf in Port Norfolk. Instead of the initially proposed 170 condos, Sillery has scaled the amount to 96 condos. Parking spaces have also gone down from 185 to 170 total spots.
Also included in this plan is a small neighborhood market and deli, and renovated boat storage and service facilities. The total building area of the project is approximately 240,800 square feet.
Approximately 2 acres of the site would be kept as open space. Residential units would all be placed above the estimated flood line for major storms as predicted through 2070.
This project needs to be approved by the BPDA and state environmental officials.
Construction of Neponset Wharf is expected to last approximately 18 months, potentially commencing in Fall 2018 with completion expected in Spring 2020. To learn more about this project visit here!
