At about 7:30 AM, on Friday, April 9, 2021, officers assigned to the Boston Police Fugitive Unit, arrested Darren Gillespie, 25, of Randolph and charged him with Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Firearm Discharged within 500 Feet of a Dwelling. Gillespie was arrested in the area of 60 Forbes Boulevard in Mansfield, MA. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.

Circumstances Surrounding the Incident : At about 10:03 PM on Thursday, February 4, 2021, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of Capen Street and Evans Street in Dorchester. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Boston EMS arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased. The victim has since been identified as Brandon Williams, 32, of Dorchester.

The Boston Police Department continues to review the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and is asking anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
