At about 7:17 PM on Thursday, October 1, 2020 officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) observed an adult male lying face down and bleeding profusely in the area of Dudley Street and Belden Street in Dorchester. The unconscious male was suffering from a laceration to the face and officers further observed broken glass in the immediate area. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses on scene stated that they heard the sound of a glass bottle smashing and then observed the male suspect dragging the victim across the ground and kicking him in the head. The witnesses further stated they observed the suspect remove the victim’s clothing, while simultaneously videotaping the violent assault on his cell phone. Additional witnesses identified the male who was subsequently taken into custody.
Officers arrested Walter Dagraca, 34-years-old, of Duxbury. Dagraca is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury.
