Triple Decker Candle Co. wants you to help them celebrate 40 years of Make-A-Wish® Massachusetts and Rhode Island, creating life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses!

The new fall fundraiser is made up of six different candles, all with its own unique scent and beautiful labels drawn by two wish recipients – one who is from Dorchester.  The candles honor the 40th anniversary of Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island and the five types of wishes most commonly granted: wish to have, wish to be, wish to go, wish to meet, and wish to give back.

You’re going to want to collect them all!

$10 from each candle sold will be donated to Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island!

To Go: Inspired by wish recipient Celia

I wish to go to Hawaii – Pineapple & Sage

A tropical blend of pineapple, sage, and green florals, balanced with anise and sugar. Smells like a getaway.

Celia, 5, from Dorchester, MA, loves to be outside, no matter the weather. Whether it’s building a snowman or swimming in the ocean, her adventurous spirit shines through. Leukemia has caused her to stay indoors more than she’d like, so her wish for a trip to Hawaii was the perfect way for her to explore the outdoors. She enjoyed the scenery, snorkeling with turtles, drinking from pineapples, and attending a luau.

To Meet: Inspired by wish recipient Jose

I wish to meet a sports legend – Amber & Sandalwood

An upscale earthy combination of palo santo, sandalwood, amber, violet and cardamom. Masculine and grounding.

The candle is inspired by Jose, 17, from Roslindale, MA, who is an extremely devoted New England Patriots fan. His wish to meet Tom Brady was granted in 2018, when Jose attended a Patriots game, had a VIP tour of Gillette Stadium, and of course, met the GOAT himself. Five years later, Jose and his family still draw so much joy from his wish experience and you can often find Jose rocking his Patriots jersey.

To Be: Inspired by wish recipient Raelyn

I wish to be a pastry chef – Lemon Pound Cake

A mouth-watering recipe of lemon, sugar, vanilla. Bright, vibrant, and sweetly warm.

Raelyn, 7, from Lincoln, RI, found comfort in the things she loves as she underwent leukemia treatment—playing outside, snuggling with her cat named Boots, and watching animated movies. Fascinated by a behind-the-scenes documentary about the pastry chefs at the studio that makes her favorite movies, Raelyn wished to be a pastry chef there! She and her family traveled to California for her big day, where she joined the professionals in the kitchen to make treats for the studio’s employees. Her favorite memory is of baking and decorating yummy cupcakes.
In honor of the deliciousness of Raelyn’s wish experience, her “Wish to Be” candle scent is Lemon Pound Cake. This mouth-watering recipe of lemon, sugar, and vanilla is just like Raelyn says: “It’s good enough to eat!”

To Have: Inspired by wish recipient Cameron

I wish to have custom fitted golf clubs – Bamboo & Coconut

A lush and luxurious green floral with notes of spearmint, pineapple, bamboo and coconut. Green and airy.

The 17-year-old from Mendon, MA, has Marfan syndrome which prevents him from playing any intense contact sports. Cameron found his passion in golf. With his tall height due to Marfan syndrome, Cameron’s 7’ 1” stature makes it difficult to find clubs that fit. Cameron’s wish for custom golf clubs enables him to confidently play the sport he loves.

To Give Back: Inspired by wish recipient Allison

I wish to plant trees – White Birch

A sophisticated pine with notes of eucalyptus, cypress and tonka bean. Smells like the great outdoors.

Allison, 20, cares deeply for the environment. Her wish to have trees planted along the rail trail in her hometown of Newburyport, MA was a great way for her to combine her admiration and respect for nature with her desire to give back to her community. Allison, her family, and her service dog, Sky, often walk the rail trail on nice days. Now their favorite walking route is a bit more scenic!
