Don’t disturb this groove
It isn’t just the humans in the neighborhood inconvenienced by the loud parties, dirt bikes and ATVs racing round the neighborhood. Evidently the animals at the Franklin Park Zoo are having a stressful time too…. mating.
The Boston Globe is reporting that during a community zoom call about the the noise last Wednesday (not the one that was Zoom bombed) the president and CEO of Zoo New England stated the animals are distressed and too upset to mate.
According to one biologist quoted in the Globe’s article, for the zoo animals it’s the equivalent to checking into a hotel, and the room next door is throwing an all-night party.
For another perspective of the topic of parties and dirt bikes, the Globe has an article about the residents behind the noise.
