The JFK Library will be open to the public on Wednesday, August 14th from 5pm-8pm with Late Night at the JFK Library!
This special event celebrates jazz’s role in the civil rights movement. You can check out special artifacts, learn the history of jazz and civil rights with author Larry Tye and his new book The Jazzmen: How Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, and Count Basie Transformed America, and enjoy live music with local musicians. Drinks and snacks will also be available for purchase!
Visitors will also receive free admission to the Museum. Learn about JFK’s formative years in the Young Jack exhibit, join him on the campaign trail up through election night, and experience the 1,000 days of his presidency in our galleries.
