Dorchester’s day in the spotlight may look a little different this year due to COVID-19, but we can still celebrate our favorite neighborhood!  Here are some fun (and safe) ways you can celebrate Dot Day!

Support Local

There are still so many businesses that are open, providing take-out or merchandise that directly supports them and their staff. Make a point of ordering take-out or shop local this Saturday! Check out our list of restaurants open for takeout if you need any ideas!  Some restaurants are featuring Dot Day specials!

Keep it Clean

Take some time out of your weekend to pick up trash and litter at your favorite park, beach or recreation area. It’s good for everyone!

Dorchester Pride

Invest in some local merchandise and represent your neighborhood! Many local restaurants have merchandise for sale on their websites, check out Custom Hype, The Bowery Bar, Lucy’s American Tavern and Dorchester Brewing for some ideas!

Get Outside

Pick up some take-out from your favorite local spot and head to your favorite spot for a picnic (staying 6 feet away from others of course!) Take a walk along the Neponset River Trail or spend some time at Malibu or Tenean Beach for some fresh air.  Don’t forget your mask!

Learn some History

Our own Anna White wrote a history lesson about the Dorchester Day Parade!  Read about it here!
